As the task of understanding just what this new "law" (not applicable to American citizens) means will take some time, The Musical Patriot respectfully asks citizens in the European Union to cease and desist from accessing this blog for the time being. I completely regret the need for this request. When things are clearer, I will have more to say. I look forward to welcoming Europeans back to this blog. Europeans and others are instead directed to my new blog with a new host. (See link in post below.)

Effort to Stop Trump Just Starting to Heat Up?

As I have reported here before, conservative efforts to stop Trump from either being nominated by Republicans or being elected President are continuing.  By some readings, such efforts are really just getting under way.

The arguments in favor are quite convincing.  The main concerns have to do with competency.  Conservatives, of course, have their own concerns over Trump's stand on various issues.

I  have my own serious concerns about competency which I have expressed here many times.  In fact, I was one of the first observers to take the Trump candidacy seriously.

Recently, there has been a good deal of head-scratching going on.  At this point, many Republicans are getting clear about, first, what is at stake, and second, what should be done -- mainly, stop Trump.

Just how to stop Trump is the matter under discussion at this time.  It is clear to this writer that Trump can be stopped.  There is going to have to be a major effort, minus any effort on the part of the press and media to start doing their jobs to properly evaluate the real estate mogul, instead of treating him in tabloid fashion as another celebrity -- albeit a very important one.

Thus, we must demand the media do their job.  There is no reason to accept this sleepy, even sleazy, level of "coverage" of a person who has no business whatever having his finger on the nuclear button.
I want to be at peace about my personal safety.  All Americans deserve such reassurance, and right away.

Effort to Stop Trump Not Over
