Today has been the birthday of the Declaration of Independence. For it was on this day thatThomas Jefferson completed his eloquent and landmark document. Two days from now will be the anniversary of its adoption by representatives present and voting. From this day on this great declaration of human rights has been the inspiration for oppressed people all over the world. May it ever be so.
