Democrats and Labor Fighting Back in Wisconsin and Elsewhere

Plans to fight the Republican stealth tactics in the Wisconsin legislature moved forward today as both labor and the Democratic Party strengthened mobilizing efforts throughout Wisconsin. The effort moved ahead on multiple fronts including recall efforts, court challenges, and renewed protests in Madison and elsewhere. In addition, the national Democratic Party began increasing efforts to combat similar anti-union efforts in other states.

Taking pundits by surprise, the public strongly opposes the movement to curtail the rights of unions. With public backing and hundreds of thousands of dollars already accumulated, pro-worker forces are ready to do battle with the special (monied) interests.
