‘Way back in the day – nearly 250 years ago now – many Americans refused to support the new constitution unless a bill of rights was attached. This was a smart strategy since the colonies had been subjected to numerous injustices at the hands of the British. One horror was the right of the British authorities to enter homes virtually at will. These and other outrages motivated the colonist to rebel.
Now, as Hampton Law makes clear, a new ruling by the supreme Court has muddied the waters, weakening the protections against unreasonable search and seizure. The video below is informative, though scary.
