Marijuana Not a Benign Drug

As states enact new laws legalizing the use of marijuana -- even recreationally -- the issue of the actual health effects of marijuana smoking can get lost.  Some say marijuana is just as safe as alcohol, maybe even safer.

So what are the facts surrounding this drug, one which is still classed as a Class I drug under federal law?  Are states right to rush to legalize pot?

    This is a quote from the web site linked to below. Is marijuana a public health issue? Absolutely. I hope to have more to say about this whole subject in the future since the U.S. is rushing head-long to decriminalize and even legalize marijuana use.
